The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A representative for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
